Born in 1982 in Aydın, GÖKBEL YAVUZOĞLU graduated from Dokuz Eylül University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Ceramics and Glass Department in 2005. During her undergraduate education, she worked as an intern at Mehmet Tüzüm Kızılcan Art Studio. The artist, who continued her master’s degree at Dokuz Eylül University, Institute of Fine Arts, Ceramics and Glass Design Department, specialized in ceramic artifact restoration and conservation and completed one semester of her master’s degree at Slovakia-Bratislava Art Academy. Later, she worked with Arzu Ataman Güngör under the roof of Atölye Türkbükü Arts and Crafts for 2 years. Then, the artist, who started her Proficiency in Art Education at Dokuz Eylül University, Institute of Fine Arts, Ceramics and Glass Design Department, worked as an intern researcher at the innovation laboratories of International Mining Company SIBELCO in Italy and Belgium for ceramic and glass body research during the relevant period. Later, she worked as a technical sales specialist in the ceramic and glass industry in the said company for 3 years. The artist, who has participated in many national and international exhibitions, symposiums, and workshops, has 4 special awards in the field of ceramics. Some of her works are in private collections in countries such as Slovakia, Serbia, Portugal, Latvia, Belarus, Tunisia, and Malaysia. She received the title of Associate Professor in the field of Plastic Arts in 2020. She currently serves as a lecturer in the Department of Ceramics and Glass at the Faculty of Fine Arts and Design at Kastamonu University.
